I was extremely pleased with the two cataract operations I had. Mr Tailor was very caring and happy to answer all the questions I asked. I would strongly recommend him.

Before the operation, Mr Tailor answered my many questions with patience and clarity. On the morning of the operation, he was calm, reassuring and professional. I felt very safe in his hands. The operation was successful and Mr Tailor was concerned that all my questions were answered in the follow up consultations before he discharged me. Thank you for such a great service.

I started my journey to a better life on November 24th 2020 when Mr Tailor performed my first cataract procedure. I was very anxious, but Mr Tailor was very understanding and a calming influence. Unfortunately I had to wait until March 4th 2021 for my second procedure because of an infection in the first eye. I was impatient to get it sorted , but Mr Tailor persuaded me that it was necessary. May Day 2021 was a very special day as I collected my reading glasses and disposed of my magnifying glass. So thank you Mr Tailor for your care in restoring my long sight.

Mr. Tailor is my NHS consultant and I was concerned about my eyesight during the total lockdown in 2020 when my NHS review appointment was cancelled. So, I approached Mr. Tailor for a private review. The tests revealed further deterioration in the sight in one of my eyes due to high pressure. I was presented with options and chose to have a trabeculectomy to insert a drainage channel to the eye and prevent further deterioration due to high pressure. I had the operation in January and all was going well until there was a strange blip in my recovery when I awoke one day to find my vision completely blurred and that I felt as if I was either very drunk or standing on the deck of a ship being tossed around on waves. It was on a Saturday and I phoned the Manor Hospital who contacted Mr. Tailor who phoned me and then arranged for one of his colleagues to see me. Treatment was agreed between the physicians and, now, 3 months after the operation all is well in both eyes. I recommend Mr. Tailor for his expertise and interpersonal skills in ensuring that I understood what was happening and what to do at each stage.
